Craigowl Farms
Craigowl Farms Ltd is a family owned and operated farming enterprise at the base of the Sidlaw Hills in Angus in the middle of a prime soft fruit producing area. At Myreton of Claverhouse we grow a variety of soft fruit, together with conventionally grown potatoes, peas and cereals. Separately, Sandy and Julie farm organically as a partnership at the neighbouring farm, Balkemback, where the focus is on production of organic cattle and sheep, together with organic cereals and potatoes. We have a particular interest in sustainable food production and in integrating renewable sources of energy into our day to day farming activities including windmills, solar panels, biomass boilers and CHP units.
